Ai Wei Wei 360
It was a great privilege to be asked by digital production company, animal vegetable mineral, to help them bring Ai Wei Wei’s latest UK exhibition online for the Royal Academy.
The tours feature on the RA website, the BBC taster Website, and was produced in stunning 3D Stereo for the Samsung Gear VR and Google cardboard virtual reality glasses…
Inspired by the art works it was very natural to want to shoot the tour in stereo 3D, so I purchased two Sony a7 R2’s with Samyang 8mms lenses and a stereo atome panorama head from 360 precision. With expert help from Matthew Rogers (360 Precision), we were able to produce the most immersive virtual tour experience I have seen to date.
